The Chart of Accounts is the list of accounts you will use for your accounting software. A basic Chart of Accounts includes asset, liability, equity, income, and expense accounts.
Intuit's Quicken and Microsoft Money use to be the market leaders in personal accounting software. Quicken now has some online solution called Mint. You will find our system and our modules enable you to do so many things that you can't do as easily with Mint or it's predecessors. |
What you truly need for accounting has very little to do with "automatically loading your data" and everything to do with being able to very quickly categorize data into numerous categories that are in a cognitive order that you can move around, add to and remove with ease -- and more so than that... with categories that can be added to and removed from various reporting formats in a moments, and nothing compares to spreadsheets for this type of work. Nothing.
